In case you were unable to make it to SSA last weekend, you missed an event that outdid the brochure. The air temperature approached 90 each day, but with the water temperature just breaking 70 the sailing conditions were quite comfortable. And did I mention that the breeze was fantastic? A steady 10-15 on Saturday and a bit more than that average on Sunday, at least from where I was on shore.
The two travelers taught the locals a thing or two. Brent threw out a bullet, but I am sure he felt some like he left something on the water as he didn’t lead at every mark. Dave and Sue Michos were fast on the water, but I understand that Dave needed to pace himself over the crabs Saturday night.
It was terrific to get 7 boats on the line which will go a long way to keep us off probation at SSA.
