The Series began this
spring in North Carolina with the Spring Thaw then moved to the
Parramore Memorial/Jet 14 Silver Chevron regatta in Annapolis in May.
SailNewport/Jet 14 Atlantic Coasts in July was the next venue. These
events were all scored using a high-point system based upon number of
boats registered per event.
The
Series concluded at Island Heights at the Nationals. Again, the
high-point system was used but with only 50% of the score counting so
that the event did not over-weight the results. Qualifying entries
must sail in three of the events and are allowed one throw-out in the
series.
David and Sue Michos repeated as first-place
winners and James McKenna repeating in second place. Kate Erklauer
finished third.
